A 56-meter (183ft) tri-deck yacht from Benetti, AE CAP D’ANTIBES was delivered in 2007. Her high-volume, full displacement steel hull, and aluminum superstructure are built to Lloyd’s classification, with exterior design by Stefano Natucci and naval architecture by Benetti’s in-house team. She has 879GT of interior volume, designed and styled by Zuretti for 12 guests in six cabins with a crew of 13.
There’s a vast sundeck up top with an unusual feature – a penthouse gym, located amidships with commanding views. The sundeck also has a jacuzzi pool forward, a big dining table aft, and two large sun pads astern. The upper aft deck is the main outdoor dining space with a ten-seat table beneath the overhang of the sundeck and open-air banquette seating astern. The main deck aft cockpit is set up as an outdoor lounge.
She is richly furnished inside, in the traditional Italian style. A guest elevator serves all decks. The sky lounge on the upper deck is full beam and notably spacious with a bar and several seating areas. There’s also a VIP double guest cabin with a marble-clad bathroom on this level, forward of the sky lounge on the starboard side, plus a pantry and a captain’s cabin to port, next to the wheelhouse.
On the main deck, the saloon is an opulent space with high-gloss walnut paneling and an intricately crafted parquet floor in contrasting blond and dark hardwoods. There’s a lobby aft with a bar, a spacious lounge, and an elegant formal dining area. The galley is forward, to port.
The master suite is upfront on the main deck and extremely large. Its entrance hall runs forward from the main lobby and opens into a spacious study. The cabin itself is of course full beam and richly decorated with a king-size bed on the centreline, and the en suite marble bathroom has a large bathtub plus his-and-hers WCs. But the stand-out feature is the private TV lounge forward of the main cabin with its great sweep of forward-facing windows.
The other guest cabins – two doubles and two twins – are amidships on the lower deck. The crew’s quarters are also on this level, up in the bow. She carries two tenders and toys in a garage astern with a transom door that folds down to create a large bathing platform.
She cruises at 15kts with a top speed of 16kts. Zero speed stabilisers are fitted.
